📋 Basic Rules of Kabaddi

Kabaddi is a simple yet strategic game. Here are the key rules:

1. The Objective

Two teams (7 players each on the court, 5 substitutes).

The raider must cross into the opponent’s half, tag as many defenders as possible, and return safely to his half.

2. The Raid

The raider must chant “Kabaddi, Kabaddi” without a break during the raid.

If the chant stops, the raid ends, and the raider is out.

Raid duration: 30 seconds.

3. Scoring Points

Touch Point: Raider touches a defender and returns successfully.

Bonus Point: Raider crosses the bonus line while keeping one foot in the air.

Tackle Point: Defenders stop the raider before he returns.

All-Out: When all 7 players of a team are dismissed, the opposing team earns 2 extra points.

4. Substitutions & Timeouts

Each team can make up to 5 substitutions.

Teams are allowed timeouts for strategy discussions.
